Founding Partner of Barlas Law Firm
Burçin Barlas is the founding partner of Barlas Law Firm. He has extensive experience in commercial and corporate law, foreign investment law, contracts and real estate. Besides his membership to Istanbul Bar association, Burçin is also a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), Turkish- British Chamber of Commerce and Industry, American Chamber of Commerce and he is enlisted in the reference list of Australian Consulate in Turkey.
Prior incorporating BLF, he has worked in many due diligence projects, mergers and acquisitions, privatizations and international structuring projects in a variety of sectors, including energy, health, finance, construction, insurance and real estate. Burçin assists his clients with the establishment of all types of business entities, limited liability companies, Joint Stock Companies and REICs (Real Estate Investment Companies).
Burçin’s articles have been published at Oxford University Press and the World Report of the World Bank including reputable legal web sites such as mondaq.com. He also organizes lectures to corporations regarding the amendments in the new Turkish Commercial Code that was promulgated in July 2012.
Following graduation from Feyziye Mektepleri Vakfı Private Işık High School on full scholarship, Burçin took his LL.B degree from Marmara University Law School and completed his LL.M (master’s degree) at Stockholm University, with full scholarship granted from the Swedish Government, specializing in European Union Law.
