An Indian company, provider of an online platform for news, information, and insights on AI,
analytics and data science, recently set up an office in the heart of the technology world in

The Indian company identified one of their capable managers to set up and kickstart their
business in the US. The beneficiary was employed in a managerial role in India, leading a
team comprising senior analysts, content writers and journalists. The L-1 petition described
the beneficiary’s role in great detail as well as those of his team members. The petition also
highlighted with specificity the beneficiary’s contribution, both toward revenue generation as
well as the goodwill of the parent company. Details were provided as to how the Indian parent
and its US subsidiary would collaborate and coordinate their business activities to ensure they
are aligned and complementary. The beneficiary will be instrumental in setting up and managing
the operations of the start-up and establishing its culture.
