2026 One Big Beautiful Bill Act Fees for E-2 Visas
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) a adds new charges that can affect an E2 budget:
$250 Visa OBBBA Integrity Fee
Most nonimmigrant visas now carry a $250 Visa Integrity Fee collected at visa issuance, described in the law as potentially refundable but still payable up front.
$24 OBBBA I-94 Fee
A new $24 fee tied to Form I-94 applications. For land border entrants, CBP describes this as an added amount on top of the existing $6 land border I-94 fee (total $30). It remains wise to download and save a fresh I 94 after each entry. federalregister.gov
If you plan prelaunch trips on ESTA before your E2 is issued you will need to pay the increased fee of $13 (note that ESTA travelers do not pay a visa issuance fee because no visa is issued). National Law Review.
Inflation Adjustments
OBBBA fees are subject to annual inflation adjustments, with FY 2026 adjustments effective January 1, 2026. Confirm the current fees right before filing or traveling.
