Julie has more than 16 years’ experience providing Employment-based and Family-based Immigration law services to clients internationally. Her clients range from major international technology companies, to performing artists and professional athletes.
Julie’s immigration practice is wide-ranging, and covers both immigrant, and non-immigrant employment-based work. She assists clients with I-9 audits and helps clients prepare for consular visits, as well as helping them prepare to challenge, for instance, Requests for Evidence and PERM audits.
She also enjoys a successful family immigration practice.
Julie has years of experience providing both employment-based and family-based immigration law services to clients around the world. Her client range is impressively diverse: she has advised and represented large international IT companies, national healthcare systems, institutions of higher education, and insurance companies – as well as professional athletes and performing artists.
Julie has extensive experience in both non-immigrant employment-based work (H-1B, H-1B1, L-1, E-3, O-1, P-1, R-1, TN, and J-1 Conrad waivers for physicians); and immigrant employment-based cases, including execution of the complete PERM labor certification process (from conducting recruitment to submitting the application); I-140 petitions; as well as employment-based adjustment of status applications.
Julie has years of experience assisting clients with I-9 audits, preparing clients for consular appointments and preparing successful responses to challenging Requests for Evidence, Motions to Reopen, and PERM audits.
Clients also have the benefit of Julie’s extensive and successful experience in family-based immigration, such as I-130, fiancé petitions, and adjustment of status; as well as naturalization applications.
Before she started her career in immigration law, Julie worked in education. This included teaching English to executives at an international pharmaceutical company and children at an international language institute in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts (Spanish and Latin American Studies) from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh; and was awarded a post-baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program in Spanish by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
